Mélodie has been a physiotherapist and member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) since 2023 and is currently a doctoral candidate in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Montreal. Throughout her professional and academic career, Mélodie has developed expertise in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation within the 2ELGBTQIA+ community, specifically in relation to trans-affirmative care. Inclusivity, kindness and respect for autonomy are the values that guide her work.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy

  • Joint injuries (e.g. osteoarthritis, meniscal injuries, frozen shoulder, etc.)

  • Muscle injuries (e.g. tendinopathy, tendon rupture, etc.)

  • Ligament injuries (e.g. sprains)

  • Chronic pain (e.g. low back pain, fibromyalgia)

  • Neuralgia (e.g. sciatica)

  • Neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease)

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation (e.g. joint replacement)

Temporo-mandibular joint (jaw) physiotherapy

  • Jaw pain;

  • Difficulty opening or closing the jaw;

  • Excessive muscular tension in the jaw;

  • Headaches.

Pelvic and perineal physiotherapy

  • Pelvic issues related to hormone therapy (e.g., vaginal atrophy)

  • Lumbopelvic issues related to pregnancy

  • Postpartum follow-up and return to sports

  • Urinary issues (e.g., urinary incontinence, dribbling, etc.)

  • Anorectal issues (e.g., faecal or gas incontinence, constipation, etc.)

  • Pelvic pain issues (e.g., dyspareunia, vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, etc.)

  • Sexual dysfunction (e.g., erectile dysfunction, vaginismus, etc.)

  • Vaginal prolapse

Transaffirmative physiotherapy

  • Gender affirmation surgery

  • Support for binding practices

  • Support for tucking practices

  • Preparation for childbirthPreoperative consultation
